The Larsen & Toubro (L&T) scrip rose 4.52 per cent on reports of the company winning four orders from Qatar, Oman and the UAE aggregating to Rs 1,044 crore for construction of electrical substations.
These projects will be executed by Electrical & Gulf Projects Operating Company, a part of L&T’s construction division. The biggest of the orders is worth Rs 737 crore from Qatar Petroleum and involves construction of four electrical sub-stations. The stock closed at Rs 1,550.65 before making an intra-day high of Rs 1,556.8 and a low of Rs 1,499.9.
