Market steady: Sensex up over 100pts

The Sensex is now up 117 points at 10,921.

Tata Motors has zoomed over 10% to Rs 248, and Tata Steel has soared over 9% to Rs 285.

Sterlite has surged 6.7% to Rs 422. SBI has rallied 5.5% to Rs 1,202.

DLF has gained 5% at Rs 233. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have moved up over 4.5% each to Rs 1,095 and Rs 416, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has advanced 4% to Rs 452. Jaiprakash Associates has added 3.5% to Rs 118.

Reliance Communications and Reliance Infrastructure are up nearly 3% each at Rs 218 and Rs 671, respectively.

Wipro has plunged 3% to Rs 266. Hindustan Unilever and TCS have shed 2% each at Rs 228 and Rs 591, respectively.

NTPC has dropped 1.7% to Rs 191. Bharti Airtel, Infosys and HDFC are down over 1% each.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,552 stocks traded so far, 2,017 have advanced, 475 have declined and 60 are unchanged.
