Markets end lower, oil and select bank shares weigh

Key shares indices have closed the trading session on a lower note amid volatility weighed down by select banks and oil shares.

The Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-share Sensex provisionally closed at 19,466 down 114 points or 0.58%. The National Stock Exchange’s 50-share S&P CNX Nifty provisionally closed at 5,894 down 44 points or 0.75%.
