Markets off day's low

The Sensex has moved up 173 points at 20,377 and the Nifty added 49 points at 6,140.  Realty and IT zooms ahead on the sectoral charts.

After touching a low of 20,211, the markets have moved upwards recovering partially from the day's low. In the broader markets, the smallcap index had inchead ahead, up 0.8% and the midcap index improved gaining 0.7%

Among the sectoral indices, Realty continues to top the charts followed by Oil & Gas, PSU and Health Care. the least gainers on the chart are Capital Goods, Bankex and Auto.

Gainers (BSE): Maruti Suzuki up 2% is the top gainer followed by ONGC, TCS, Hindustan Unilever gaining 1% each. Market heavyweight RIL,     Hindalco,DLF and BHEL adding  0.8% are the otehr significant gainers.

Losers (BSE): NTPC down 0.6% is the top loser followed by L&T, Hero Honda and HDFC Bank shedding 0.1% - 0.4%.

The market breadth is very positive. 1871 stocks have advanced while 691 have declined.
