Markets volatile; ITC surges 4%
The NSE Nifty is up 19 points at 4,111.
ITC has surged 4.5% to Rs 184. Wipro and HDFC Bank have rallied over 3% each to Rs 377 and Rs 1,064, respectively.
Hindustan Unilever and Tata Steel have gained 2.5% each at Rs 225 and Rs 607, respectively.
SBI has advanced 2.3% to Rs 1,329. ACC, Reliance Communications and ICICI Bank have moved up over 2% each to Rs 550, Rs 444 and Rs 630, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has added 1.8% to Rs 530. HDFC, Tata Motors and Infosys are up over 1.5% each at Rs 2,102, Rs 427 and Rs 1,571, respectively.
DLF has dropped nearly 2% to Rs 448. Jaiprakash Associates and Hindalco have shed 1.7% each at Rs 158 and Rs 140, respectively.
Satyam is down 1.3% at Rs 378.
