Medium sugar eases on weak demand

Medium sugar prices moved down at the Vashi Wholesale market here today on reduced offtake from stockists and traders. 

While small sugar variety witnessed a mixed pattern of trading owing to alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Medium sugar quality (M-30) edged down by Rs 7 per quintal to Rs 3,021/3,091 from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,028/3,091.

Small sugar quality (S-30), however was quoted at Rs 2,960/3,026 per quintal as against Rs 2,980/3,021 yesterday.
