Speculators enlarged positions driven by increased industrial and export demand

Mentha oil prices gained 0.91% per cent to Rs 1,301.70 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions driven by increased industrial and export demand.
Besides, restricted arrivals from producing regions further fuelled the uptrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the November contract gained Rs 31.90, or 0.91%, to Rs 1,301.70 per kg, with a business turnover of 449 lots.
The December contract traded higher by Rs 10.90, or 0.85% to Rs 1,293.50 per kg, with a business turnover of 172 lots.
Marketmen said speculators enlarged positions on the back of increased industrial and demand against restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to a rise in mentha oil futures.
