 "Mentha oil up by 0.5% as demand picks up")
Mentha oil prices rose by 0.53% to Rs 857 per kg in futures trade today as traders engaged in creating positions on account of good demand from consuming industries amid lower arrivals.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in November rose by Rs 4.60, or 0.53%, to Rs 857 per kg, with a trading volume of 107 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in December higher by Rs 3.50, or 0.40%, to Rs 868 per kg, with a business turnover of 322 lots.
Marketmen said a firming trend at the spot markets amid restricted supplies from producing regions mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here.
