Menthol weakens on fall in demand

Menthol prices fell by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today owing to reduced offtake by consuming units.

Increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh (UP) also put pressure on the prices.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 10 each to Rs 1,170, Rs 1,130 and Rs 1,070 per kg, respectively. 

Marketmen said reduced offtake by consuming units against increased arrivals from producing belts in UP markets mainly led to the decline in menthol prices.
