The shares of brokerage firm Motilal Oswal Financial Services on Friday galloped 3.87 per cent to close at Rs 115.30. The company said that it received an in-principle approval from the Securities Exchange Board of India to start a mutual fund business in the country.
The announcement was made during trading hours on August 29, 2008. The stock touched a high of Rs 117.70 and a low of Rs 115.30 during the day. A total of 78,000 shares of the company were traded on the BSE counter on Friday.
