MPHASIS shares rose 4.39 per cent to Rs 285.4 after company’s net surged three-fold. The consolidated net profit jumped 219 per cent y-o-y to Rs 224.5 crore for the March ended quarter, whereas the total income stood at Rs 1,048.5 crore, a rise of 52.3 per cent in the same period.
For the half year ended April 30, 2009, the group recorded net profit growth of over three-fold and revenue increased 55.1 per cent. The stock made an intraday high of Rs 304 and a low of Rs 273 with trading volumes of 5.2 lakh shares (about 3.7 times its two-week average).
