NDTV is trading higher by 5% to Rs 26.60 after Oswal group promoted, Oswal Green Tech, formerly Oswal Chemicals & Fertilisers, acquired 14.17% stake the company through open market purchase for Rs 24.24 crore.
Oswal group had bought 9.13 million equity shares in two separate block deals Tuesday from the investment arms of Merrill Lynch and Nomura Capital. While Merrill Lynch Capital Markets Espana sold 5.10 million shares at Rs 26.55 a share, Nomura Mauritius sold 4.03 million shares each at Rs 26.75, according to information made available to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The stock opened at Rs 26.10 and hit a high of Rs 27.20 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). A total 80,612 shares have changed hands on the counter so far on both the exchanges.
