The much hyped ethanol, the bio-fuel from molasses has landed in controversy.

With the petroleum ministry planning to appoint a Tariff Commission to fix an appropriate price for sourcing ethanol from the sugar mills to blend with petrol, the sugar industry which had started looking up now finds itself in a soup.

The ministry
