The Sensex has surged 245 points after the GDP numbers for the fiscal year were announced. The Q4 GDP has been well received by the market and investors. The index is now up 269 points at 14,565.
Mahindra & Mahindra have surged 6% to Rs 677. ACC has rallied 5% to Rs 756. Jaiprakash Associates and Reliance Infrastructure have gained 4% each to Rs 200 and Rs 1,320, respectively.
Reliance Communications and TCS have advanced 3.5% each to Rs 309 and Rs 683, respectively.
DLF, Bharti Airtel, Larsen & Toubro, Larsen & Toubro, ITC, Tata Steel, Grasim, Wipro, Tata Power, ICICI Bank, Ranbaxy, BHEL and Tata Motors have added 1-2% each.
However, Sun Pharma has dropped 4% to Rs 1,265.
The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,442 stocks traded, 1,982 have advanced while 409 have declined.
