Benchmark indices have trimmed early gains and are trading marginally positive as investors booked profits at higher levels after both the benchmark indices cruised near their all-time highs. At 12:57AM the Sensex was up 79 points at 20,988 and the Nifty was up 25 points at 6,237.

On the global front, Asian share markets took heart from record highs in U.S. stocks on Wednesday as investors wagered the Federal Reserve would rock no boats at its policy meeting and leave stimulus in place for the next few months at least.

With a hawk's eye on inflation, the Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday increased the key policy rate, or the repo rate, by 25 bps to 7.75 per cent, and reduced the marginal standing facility (MSF) rate by an equal amount (to 8.75 per cent) to bring down banks’ cost of funds. In this case you should naturally be buying Banking stocks and other rate sensitives.  Mudit picks for you what to buy from banking, realty names.

Investors seem to be weighing their options ahead of F&O expiry tomorrow. Market is more or less flat with a positive bias today. In this case what are the levels one should track?
Mudit Goyal : Recently, Index has given an Inverted Head and shoulder pattern breakout with huge buying force and still trading above the same which indicates the strength for coming days. For lower side, one should track the 6080-6060 for near term and on the upper side, chart is free for near term

SmartInvestor : What is your view on Bharti Airtel? The street has given up a thumbs-up to its Q2 FY14 number.
Mudit Goyal : On Bharti Airtel- it is forming an Ascending Triangle pattern on daily charts which is bullish in nature. It took around two months to form the pattern so the potential of rise is quite strong. One can initiate long for the upside target of 370-375 levels in near term

SmartInvestor : What is your take on Bank Nifty today. Pick for some banking names that could give good? returns in a short-term perspective?
