Akruti City finally ended with a loss of 4.5% at Rs 482, down 6.4% from the day's high. The counter witnessed trades of over 55,000 shares.

Akruti City today hit the 5% lower circuit level in noon trades, and is currently trading at Rs 480 - down 4.7%. The counter has seen trades of around 48,450 shares so far on the BSE.
The stock has been on a roller-coaster ride eversince it has been banned from the futures & options segment. The stock had soared almost 124% in six days, from Rs 995, to touch its 52 week high of Rs 2,228 on March 19, 2009.
However, it started falling after that and hit 17 consecutive lower circuits from March 27, 2009 to April 24, 2009. From it's 52-week high of Rs 2,364, the stock plummeted 85% to Rs 343.
Thereafter, Akruti City recovered partially and started rising. It managed to close at Rs 615 on June 10, 2009, surging nearly 80%, in the process.
