Sebi opens local office in Hyderabad

Market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) today opened a local office in Hyderabad's Banjara Hills locality.
The centre was inaugurated by Sebi chairman U K Sinha.
Also presen at the event were TS Vijayan, chairman, Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA), Rajeev Kumar Agarwal, whole time member, SEBI, Bibhab Dutta, chief commissioner of Income Tax, Hyderabad and other Sebi officials.
SEBI has also local offices at Indore, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar and Jaipur. The market regulator has regional offices at New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Ahmedabad.
The local offices primarily deal with investor education, grievances redressal and other related issues.
