Sebi tweaks system audit requirements for brokers

Brokers who have already commenced their annual audit have been allowed to complete it as per old guidelines

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has revised the system audit guidelines for stock brokers.

The revised guidelines include changes to the System Audit Process and Auditor Selection Norms, according to a Sebi circular on Wednesday.

Brokers who have already commenced their annual audit have been allowed to complete it as per the old guidelines, while those yet to begin would have to do it as per the new norms.
