Sensex down 107pts; Maruti, HDFC Bank firm

The Sensex is now down 107 points at 14,343.

Jaiprakash Associates and Reliance have plunged 3% each to Rs 155 and Rs 2,164, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahidnra has slipped over 2% to Rs 552. Tata Steel has shed 1.8% at Rs 575.

HDFC and Tata Motors are down over 1% each at Rs 2,338 and Rs 430, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Maruti have surged 2.5% each to Rs 1,238 and Rs 640, respectively.

Satyam has rallied over 2% to Rs 402. Wipro and TCS have gained 1.7% each at Rs 427 and Rs 831, respectively.

Out of 2,515 stocks traded so far, 1,491 have declined, 933 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
