Sensex down 437pts; DLF, Rel Infra drop 9%

The Sensex is now down 437 points at 10,145.

Reliance Infrastructure, DLF and Reliance Communications have slumped 9% each to Rs 508, Rs 296 and Rs 236, respectively.

NTPC has tumbled 8.5% to Rs 152. Jaiprakash Associates has shed 8% at Rs 69.

Sterlite has plunged 7.6% to Rs 276. Bharti Airtel and TCS have slipped 7% each to Rs 680 and Rs 461, respectively.

BHEL has dropped 6.5% to Rs 1,227. ICICI Bank and Tata Power have declined around 6% each to Rs 390 and Rs 753, respectively.

Maruti, Tata Steel and Grasim are down around 5.5% each at Rs 640, Rs 255 and Rs 1,297, respectively.

All index stocks are in negative zone.

Out of 2,574 stocks traded so far, 1,642 have declined, 866 have advanced and 66 are unchanged.
