Sensex ends down 93pts

The Sensex has finally ended (provisional) at 17,096, down 94 points.

The NSE Nifty has ended (provisional) at 5,112, down 23 points.

The Sensex after touching a low of 17,056 is now trading flat at 17,152, down 37 points.

The NSE Nifty is at 5,123, down 13 points.

The BSE Bankex has slipped 1% to 10,114.

BHEL is the only major gainer on the Sensex, up 3% at Rs 2,362 and Infosys is up 1% at Rs 2,467, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has slipped 2.5% to Rs 333. ICICI Bank, Jaiprakash Associates and Sun Pharmaceuticals have slipped 1% each at Rs 229 and Rs 1,438,respectively.

The market breadth remains weak, out of 2,879 shares traded, 1,1596 have declined and 1,185 have advanced so far on the BSE.
