Sensex flat again; HDFC down 4%

The Sensex is now down 19 points at 9,813. Earlier in the day, the index opened 38 points lower at 9794, and touched a low of 9,790. The index, thereafter, had moved up to a high of 9,931.

Tata Motors has rallied 4.5% to Rs 165. ONGC has surged 3.5% to Rs 696.

Ranbaxy has moved up 2.8% to Rs 220. Reliance has gained 2.2% at Rs 1,368.

NTPC, TCS and ACC have moved up 2% each to Rs 172, Rs 479 and Rs 523, respectively.

Infosys and Grasim are up around 1.5% each at Rs 1,119 and Rs 1,191, respectively.

Sterlite has slumped 7.5% to Rs 285. Reliance Infrastructure has plunged 4.5% to Rs 623.

HDFC has tumbled 3.7% to Rs 1,553. Reliance Communications, DLF and Mahindra & Mahindra have slipped 2.7% each to Rs 232, Rs 273 and Rs 295, respectively.

Maruti has dropped over 2% to Rs 498. Hindalco, Tata Steel and Larsen & Toubro are down 1% each at Rs 55, Rs 224 and Rs 812, respectively.
