Sensex flat in early trades; RCom zooms 8%

The Sensex opened marginally (24 points) higher at 9,679, and is now up five points at 9,660.

Reliance Communications (RCom) has zoomed over 8% to Rs 247. Jaiprakash Associates has soared over 4% to Rs 78, and Sterlite has surged 3.7% to Rs 282.

ICICI Bank has rallied over 2% to Rs 409. Hindalco has added 1.5% to Rs 54.

TCS has plunged 2.3% to Rs 529. Satyam and Hindustan Unilever have shed 2% each at Rs 232 and Rs 240, respectively.

Wipro and Mahindra & Mahindra have slipped 1.6% each to Rs 257 and Rs 282, respectively.

BHEL, HDFC and ACC are down over 1% each at Rs 1,396, Rs 1,605 and Rs 472, respectively.
