Sensex flat in morning trades; RCom slips 3%

The Sensex opened 18 points lower at 10,258 amid mixed global cues. The index slipped to a low of 10,230, then rebounded and touched a high of 10,339. The index is now up 14 points at 10,290.

Satyam and Mahindra & Mahindra has surged 4.5% each to Rs 175 and Rs 310, respectively.

Grasim and Sterlite have gained 4.3% each at Rs 1,285 and Rs 315, respectively.

HDFC and ICICI Bank have rallied 2.5% each to Rs 1,670 and Rs 512, respectively.

Tata Motors and ACC have moved up over 2% each to Rs 183 and Rs 517, respectively.

Hindalco, BHEL and Ranbaxy are up nearly 2% each at Rs 59, Rs 1,462 and Rs 254, respectively.

Reliance Communications (RCom) has plunged 2.8% to Rs 256.

Tata Power and Reliance Infrastructure have shed around 1.5% each at Rs 817 and Rs 656, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and NTPC have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 843 and Rs 179, respectively.
