The Sensex continues its good run and is near the day' s high at 19,507, up 160 points and the Nifty has gained 64 points at 5,860. In the broader markets, the smallcap index has slipped into the negative while the midcap index is at 0.1% as compared to the benchmark index at 0.8%.
On the BSE sectoral indices, IT has moved ahead at 2% followed by Oil & Gas, Teck and Metal. However, the Auto index has slipped into the red and is at the bottom of the chart at 0.06%.The movers in the It space are Oracle Financial Services and Patni Computer up nearly 5%, Financial Technologies, Tech Mahindra gaining 3% each.
The gainers on the Sensex are ONGC,Reliance,Maruti Suzuki up 2% each. Wipro, Hindalco and Tata Steel adding 1% each are the other significant gainers.
The losers on the Sensex are Tata Motors, State Bank of India and JP Associates down 1% each followed by Jindal Steel, Hindustan Unilever, DLF and BHEL shedding 0.4% - 0.7% each.
