The Sensex continues to drift deeper into red and is now close to 10,000-mark. The index is now down 782 points at 10,027.
TCS has slumped over 13% to Rs 470. Wipro and Reliance have tumbled nearly 12% each to Rs 244 and Rs 1,339, respectively.
Tata Power and Tata Motors have tanked nearly 11% each to Rs 708 and Rs 252, respectively.
Hindalco has shed 10.6% at Rs 71, and Jaiprakash Associates have plunged over 10% to Rs 65.
Satyam has crashed almost 10% at Rs 246. Reliance Infrastructure has dropped 9.6% to Rs 502.
Infosys has slipped over 9% to Rs 1,210, and Mahindra & Mahindra has declined 8.7% to Rs 442.
Hindustan Unilever, however, continues to hold a gain of 2% at Rs 236.
