Sensex rebounds; ACC, Ranbaxy up 3%

The Sensex has rebounded and has entered the positive zone. The index has pared majority of its losses and is now at 15,249, up 11 points.

The BSE Auto and Power indices are down 1.5% each to 4,824 and 12,040, respectively.

ACC and Ranbaxy have gained 3% each at Rs 871 and Rs 291, repsectively.

SBI and Grasim are up 1% each.

Sterlite has slipped 5% to Rs 680. Tata Power has declined 4% to Rs 1,127.

Hindalco and Tata Motors have dropped 3% each to Rs 97 and Rs 346, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Sun Pharma, Maruti, Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro, HDFC, Reliance, NTPC, Reliance Communications and Reliance Infrastructures are down 1-2% each.

The market breadth is negative, out of 2,083 shares traded, 738 have advanced and 1,281 have declined so far on the BSE.
