Sensex surges over 300pts in early trades

The Sensex opened 205 points higher at 10,107, and soon soared to a high of 10,267. The index is now up 333 points at 10,235.

ICICI Bank has zoomed 6.7% to Rs 373. Reliance Infrastructure has soared nearly 6% to Rs 582.

TCS and HDFC have rallied 5.5% each to Rs 575 and Rs 1,588, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates, SBI and Larsen & Toubro have moved up around 5.5% each to Rs 89, Rs 1,123 and Rs 703, respectively.

ONGC and DLF too have advanced over 4% each to Rs 838 and Rs 184, respectively.

Tata Motors, Reliance Communications, HDFC Bank and Wipro are also up nearly 4% each to Rs 187, Rs 187, Rs 1,036 and Rs 261, respectively.
