The Sensex today opened up 53 points, at 14,476. It surged 155 points to a high of 14,578.
The index is now up 107 points at 14,529.
DLF has surged 2.5% to Rs 329. Reliance Communications, Sterlite and TCS have gained 2% each to Rs 308, Rs 390 and Rs 583, respectively.
Grasim, Hindalco, Jaiprakash Associates, Tata Power, ICICI Bank, Reliance Infrastructure, HDFC, Larsen & Toubro, HDFC Bank, Bharti AIrtel, Ranbaxy, BHEL, Infosys and ITC have added around 1% each.
However, Tata Steel has slipped 2.5% to Rs 397. ONGC has dropped 2% to Rs 1,029.
