Sensex up 160pts; Tata Motors gains 4%

The Sensex today opened 56 points higher at 14,322. The index touched a high of 14,456.

The Sensex is now moving steady and is at 14,429, up 163 points.

Reliance Infrastructure has soared 4.5% to Rs 1,255.

Tata Motors has gained 4% at Rs 341.

Reliance Communications and DLF have added 3.5% each to Rs 309 and Rs 333, respectively.

Tata Steel, Sterlite and HDFC Bank have advanced over 2% each to Rs 399, Rs 603 and Rs 1,556, respectively.

Also Read

Jaiprakash Associates, Sun Pharma, SBI and Ranbaxy are up 1.5% each.

On the other hand ONGC and NTPC are down 1% each at Rs 200 and Rs 1,002, respectively.
