Sensex up 175 points at 12,047

Mirroring positive cues from the global markets, the Sensex today opened 75 points higher at 11,950. The index has moved up and is now at 12,047,up 175 points.

ICICI Bank has advanced over 3.5% to Rs 556. 

Tata Steel and Sterlite have added 3% each to Rs 273 and Rs 463, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates, DLF and ACC have gained 2.5% each to Rs 140, Rs 255 and Rs 629, respectively.

TCS, Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Communications and BHEL are up over 2% each.
