Sensex up 45pts; ITC drops 5%

The Sensex from a high of 12,181, has given most of its gains and is now up 45 points at 11,846.

Bharti Airtel and ONGC have soared around 4% each to Rs 760 and Rs 1,018, respectively.

Reliance Communications and DLF have rallied nearly 3% each to Rs 309 and Rs 310, respectively.

SBI and HDFC have moved up 2.7% each to Rs 1,473 and Rs 2,017, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates, Ranbaxy and Grasim have advanced 2.5% each to Rs 103, Rs 253 and Rs 1,630, respectively.

Reliance, Infosys and NTPC are up 2% each at Rs 1,678, Rs 1,345 and Rs 172, respectively.

ITC has plunged over 5% to Rs 171. Maruti and Larsen & Toubro have tumbled 4% each to Rs 634 and Rs 1,039, respectively.

ICICI Bank has shed 2.3% at Rs 479. Hindustan Unilever and Sterlite are down around 1% each at Rs 247 and Rs 332, respectively.
