Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL) has soared 14% to Rs 145 after the company said its wheel sales rose 9% to one million units in September 2013 on year-on-year basis.
SSWL said that the sales in September 2013 were its highest ever monthly sales. The company had sold 925,000 wheels during a year ago month. Exports grew 107% to 149,280 units in September 2013 over September 2012.
The company enjoys 100% supply to Honda amaze, Hyundai10 Grande, Renault Duster. Few new passenger car business will start by December 2013 where the company enjoys 100% supply will further boost volumes, SSWL said in a press release.
The stock opened at Rs 129 and hit a high of Rs 153 on NSE. A combined 59,000 shares change hands on the counter till 1140 hours on NSE and BSE.
