Strong spot demand pushes Cardamom up 1.36%

Cardamom futures prices moved up by Rs 9.70 to Rs 723.60 per kg today on pick-up in demand in view of marriage season against restricted arrivals from producing region.
At the Multi-Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in February rose by Rs 9.70, or 1.36%, to Rs 723.60 per kg in business turnover of 1,650 lots.
March cardamom traded higher by Rs 1.50, or 0.20%, to Rs 770.70 per kg in 819 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in cardamom futures to the pick-up in demand due to ongoing marriage season mainly pushed up cardamom futures prices.
'They said restricted arrivals from producing region also supported the uptrend in cardamom.
