Sugar recovers on fresh demand

Sugar prices recovered moderately at the Vashi Wholesale market here today on fresh buying from stockists and retail consumers.

Small sugar quality (S-30) rose by Rs 29 per quintal to Rs 2,831/2,900 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 2,831/2,871.

Medium sugar quality (M-30) also firmed up by Rs 10/20 per quintal to Rs 2,890/2,961, as compared with Rs 2,870/ 2,951 yesterday.
