Talwalkars Better Value Fitness has surged 8% to Rs 215 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) after Equity Intelligence India [PMS] bought nearly one percentage point stake in the company through open market.
On Tuesday, Equity Intelligence India [PMS] bought 208,679 equity shares representing 0.7% of total paid up equity of the company at Rs 196.96 per share through a block deal, the NSE data shows.
Equity Intelligence is one of the leading portfolio managers in India.
The trading volumes on the counter more than doubled with a combined 802,014 equity shares changed hands on the NSE and BSE till 03:15 PM. The Nifty 50 index was up marginally by 0.05% at 7,607.
