Two ex-chief secretaries of Gujarat join the Board of NMCE

Five new directors joined recently include Ex- Chief Secretaries of Government of Gujarat namely P.K. Laheri and Sudhir G. Mankad as Independent Directors nominated by FMC

National Multi-Commodity Exchange [NMCE] has inducted high profile eminent personalities from various fields on its Board of directors. The list of new directors include two ex-chief secretaries of Gujarat. Five new directors joined recently include Ex- Chief Secretaries of Government of Gujarat namely P.K. Laheri and Sudhir G. Mankad as Independent Directors nominated by the Forward Markets Commission [FMC].  
 
Paul Joseph IES (Retired) has also joined as Independent Director nominated by FMC. He worked for 36 years in important economic Ministries of the Government of India and retired as Principal Advisor, Planning Commission.
 
V.S. Jain who was the Chairman of SAIL and served on the Board of SAIL for 12 years and  also served as a Member of the Public Enterprises Selection Board, has also joined as Independent Director nominated by FMC. 
 
Dr Rakesh Gupta has been nominated by Punjab National Bank on the Board. He has 29 years experience in Banking Industry. K.M.Sahni IAS (Retired) continues to serve as Independent Director. Kevin D’sa CFO of Bajaj Auto Limited and V.R. Gupta Director (Finance) of Central Warehousing Corporation [CWC] continue to serve as Directors of NMCE, a press release said.
