US markets consolidate after yesterday's gains

The Dow Jones closed at 10,062, higher by 47 points or 0.4% and the Nasdaq ended at 2,173, up 1 point. The S&P shut at 1,096, up  4 points or 0.4%.

The Indian ADRs had a mixed day. 

Sterlite ended at $16, weaker by $1 or 10.5%, MTNL shed $0.1 or 3% to close at $3.5 and Dr Reddy's shut at $20, lower by $0.6 or 2.9%.     

Satyam was the major gainer, adding $0.2 or 3.4% at $6. This was followed by HDFC, which ended at $126, higher by $3.5 or 2.8%, and Patni, which closed at $18, higher by $0.2 or 1.3%.
