US markets end down

The US markets ended in the negative. The Dow Jones closed at 10,120, weaker by 115 points or 1.1%, Nasdaq ended at 2179, lower by 42 points or 1.9% and the S&P shut at 1084, down 12 points or 1.1%.

The Indian ADRs ended down. Sterlite ended at $16, weaker by $0.7 or 4.5%, Infosys closed at $52, lower by $2 or 3.8% and MTNL shut at $3, down $0.1 or 5.4%.

ICICI Bank weakened by $0.8 or 2.4% at $33 and HDFC Bank shed $2.7 or 2.2% at $116.
