Wheat dara prices rose by Rs 10 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today on restricted arrivals from producing belts against increased offtake by flour mills.

However, non-basmati rice slipped on increased arrivals, while barley went up.

Traders said fall in arrivals from producing regions amid increased offtake from flour mills to meet the ongoing festive and marriage season demand.

Wheat dara (for mills) gained Rs 10 to Rs 1,270-1,275 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and edged up by the same margin to Rs 1,275-1,280 per 90 kg.
