Zinc up 0.1% as demand picks up

Metal for delivery in April edged up marginally by 0.04%

Zinc prices went marginally up by 0.13% to Rs 118.75 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions, supported by pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in March traded higher by 15 paise, or 0.13% to Rs 118.75 per kg in business turnover of 734 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in April edged up marginally by 5 paise, or 0.04% to Rs 119.55 per kg in 128 lots.

Analysts said speculators enlarged positions, supported by pick up in demand in the spot market, helping zinc prices to trade marginally higher in futures trade.
