Tracking a firming trend in other base metals on global cues, zinc futures traded 0.23% higher at Rs 110.70 per kg today as participants enlarged their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, January zinc up by 25 paise, or 0.23%, to Rs 110.70 per kg, with a turnover of 71 lots.
The December delivery traded higher by 20 paise, or 0.18%, to Rs 110.10 per kg, with a turnover of 859 lots.
Marketmen said gains in base metals at the London Metal Exchange after data showed China's industrial production in November accelerated to the fastest pace in eight months, increasing demand in the world's biggest user, influenced zinc futures prices.
