A rare treasury bill marked one million pounds is set to go on sale this month for just 10,000 pounds.
The rare bill carries an issue date of September 8, 2003 and has been stamped "cancelled," Daily Star reported.
The note is set to go up for auction at the British and World Paper Money at Dix Noonan Webb later this month.
The bill, which promises "This Treasury Bill entitles [the payee] to payment of one million pounds out of the Debt Management Account on 6 October 2003 on surrender of this Treasury Bill to the Bank of England," was given to a printer by the Treasury in recognition of his work for the Government.
