11 people have been reportedly killed in a raid by militants at a security check-post in western Afghanistan's Herat province.
District police chief Shir Agha Aliqozai said that around 10-15 militants attacked the Afghan Local Police ( ALP) check-post along a main road in Obe district.
Aliqozai revealed that four ALP personnel, three civilians and four militants were killed in an engagement which lasted an hour.
Police and security teams cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to arrest the militants, however, no militant organization has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
