14 Assam Cabinet Ministers to take oath today

A new council of ministers will take oath in Assam today.

The oath-taking ceremony will take place at the Raj Bhawan in Guwahati. State Governor P B Acharya will administer oath of secrecy to 14 ministers. Four more ministers will be inducted in mid-February.

Rockybul Hussein, Kharsing Ingti, Basanta Das, Nazrul Islam, Ajit Singh and Ajanta Neog will be re-included in the new Council of Ministers. They were all members of the Council of Ministers that had recently resigned to facilitate the reshuffle.

Apart from them, former Chief Minister Dr. Bhumidhar Barman and former minister Sarat Barkotoky will also get a ministerial berth.

Women MLAs Sumitra Patir and Bismita Gogoi will also take oath.
