A day after Murad Ali Shah was elected as the Chief Minister of Pakistan's Sindh province, a 17-member cabinet on Saturday swore-in in their respective departments.

The cabinet took oath at a ceremony held at the Governor's House, reports the Express Tribune.

On July 29, Sindh Assembly had elected Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Shah as the province's new chief minister.

He had secured 88 out of total 91 votes against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Khurram Sher Zaman who received only three votes.

During his first engagement after assuming office today, Shah ordered authorities to remove barriers and encroachments around the CM House in Karachi.

He had vowed to make Sindh safe, secure, healthy, wealthy and literate.

He even said that the issue of extension in Rangers' policing powers will be resolved in a day or two.
