One Direction and Ariana Grande were among the top winners at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) 2014 held in Glasgow.
The British boy band managed to scoop three awards at the awards with Best Pop song, Biggest Fans and Best Live Performances, the Mirror reported.
Grande grabbed two awards along with award for the Best Song for 'Problem' beating the likes of Beyonce and Nicki Minaj.
Ozzy Osbourne was also recognized for his status as a rock legend and he was presented with the Global Icon award.
Justin Bieber picked the award for the Best Male, whereas Best Female was picked by Grande.
Minaj took home the award for Best Hip-Hop and Best Video went to Katy Perry feat. Juicy J for her hit single 'Dark Horse'.
Calvin Harris was awarded with Best Electronic.

2. Best World Stage- Enrique Iglesias, MTV World Stage, Isle of MTV Malta
