UK boyband One Direction's singer Louis Tomlinson has reportedly been forced to cancel his debut for English football club Doncaster Rovers after he was 'clattered' by Aston Villa star Gabby Agbonlahor in a recent charity match.

The injury has reportedly forced Tomlinson to postpone his first appearance for his hometown club, in which he was due to take part in a reserve game against local rivals Scunthorpe United.

According to the Daily Star, Tomlinson tweeted that he was 'gutted' to be missing out on the match, with the report adding that 1D fans sent death threats to Agbonlahor after he floored Tomlinson in the game, which was organised by retired Villa and Celtic legend Stiliyan Petrov.

Following the clash, Tomlinson, who is a keen footballer, reportedly hobbled off the pitch and then vomited on the touchline.

The report further said that Tomlinson regularly plays for his own pub team the Three Horseshoes and has also previously appeared at Rovers' Keepmoat Stadium with 1D bandmates Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan.

Last month, Rovers announced they had issued Tomlinson with a squad number for the new season, which allows him to play in the south Yorkshire side's Championship games.
