Two people were killed and nearly 7 injured after gunfire broke out at a Detroit barbershop known for gambling activity.
The shootings occurred on Wednesday evening at Al's Barber Shop, police spokeswoman Kelly Miner said.
She said nine men were shot and two of them were confirmed dead.
According to ABC News, details of the incident were sketchy as the police were still investigating what happened, and it was not yet clear how many people opened fire.
Police Chief James Craig said that 'suspects engaged a couple of victims' before 'several shots were fired'.
Miner said two cars pulled up outside the barbershop and people in the vehicles exchanged gunfire with each other.
