Two people were killed and three others were injured in a gunfight that took place in the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans on Tuesday, according to media reports.
According to the New Orleans Police, the incident took place at around 8 p.m. (local time) in the area of the 5100 block of St. Claude Avenue, where it appeared one of the slain victims was in a red car pulled sideways into a petrol pump station and entered into a brawl with a group of men.
It is yet to be ascertained as to what was the possible cause for the gunfight. Also, the suspects were yet to be identified.
However, one person was shot dead on the shot, while the second person was declared brought dead at a hospital. Three others, who were injured in the gunfight, are recovering.
